Make a wish with Party Puffins

 Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to this last week of April's blog post and it's all about Making A Wish using TGIF Challenge #365.

At first look, I pictured the following colors in my mind: Copper, Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride, Fresh Freesia, Basic Black and Basic White.

I knew the background had to be interesting and eventually thought of creating a bokeh background using some of those colors.

After playing around a bit, this is what I finally came up with.

Cardmaking Tips:

To create this card, it took some special methods and is best explained in a video so checkout my video tutorial below on how I put this together.

Cardmaking Supplies:

Use the following link to view the supplies used for this card project:

One particular tool I used and I love, the Grip Tweezers, is not a Stampin' UP! product but you can find it on Amazon.

Thank you SO VERY much for joining me this week!

Until next time ...

Variety of samples made with "Limited Edition"

 Hello Crafty Friends & Welcome!

I would like to share with you a few of my creations that I had worked on over the past week that uses the Limited Edition stamp set from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog by Stampin' Up!.

This catalog will become available to all customers beginning on Tuesday, May 3rd (only 15 days away). Until then, I'll be sharing a few things here and there before it goes live.

These samples use a variety of products. Some are in the current annual catalog and some are from the NEW annual catalog.

You may notice the NEW In-Colors on a few of these samples. I sure love the way they all look together and my favorite color is Orchid Oasis.

Here's a bit of a closer look at each one.

If you would like to know more about these products and how to get your hands on them, please contact your local Stampin' UP! demonstrator. If you don't have one, feel free to reach out to me through my Website

Thank you so very, very much for joining me this week.

Until next time ...

Sneek Peek at Limited Edition

 Hello, Hello Crafty Friends!!!

I've been spending my week with a few NEW products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog by Stampin' UP!, which will go LIVE on May 3rd. Only Stampin' UP! demonstrators are able to pre-order these products at this time.

This week I have combined the use of a NEW stamp set called Limited Edition along with TGIF Challenge #363. I'll be posting some more samples with this stamp set on my facebook page so you are welcome to head over and "LIKE" my page to see more ideas.

My take on the sketch is soft and elegant and I didn't steer far from the sketch itself. The color combination of Very Vanilla, Petal Pink and Soft Succulent can easily lend itself to a wedding card by simply swapping out the sentiment on the card.
I sure hope the recipient will feel extra special receiving this gift of a "paper hug"!

Cardmaking Tips:

  • Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock to 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" and emboss it with the Gingham Embossing folder. Mount it onto your Thick Very Vanilla card-base that measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".
  • Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" then adhere a 1" x 2-1/2" strip of the marbled side of the Sweet Talk DSP above the half-way point. Then wrap the Petal Pink Ribbon onto the cardstock as shown and finish off with a bow using some glue dots (I cut three separate strips of ribbon for this, to make it easier.)
  •  Use the Pearlescent Specialty Paper and cut two 1/2" x 5-1/4" strips then use the Lovely Labels Pick a punch to trim each end.
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Pearlescent Paper with Black StazOn ink and cut it out using the Tasteful Labels die.
  • Cut out two branch shapes from the Soft Succulent shade of the  2021-2023 In-Color Shimmer Vellum using the die from the Sunflowers die set. Insert these behind the horizontal piece of ribbon and adhere with glue dots.
  • Finish off the card with some Pearl Basic Jewels on each end of the Pearlescent strips.
  • Carry over a couple of the same elements to the inside of the card such as the Kraft cardstock and the Shimmer Vellum cutout then stamp the sentiment "celebrating you" from the One Happy Family stamp set, as shown below.

Until next time.
