Honey Bears in Love Card

 Hello & Happy February 1st!

It's the perfect time to share my latest creation featuring the adorable stamp set, Fluffiest Friends, which was inspired by this week's TGIF Challenges #457.

I did quite a different take than what you see on the inspiration image.

I imagined the swoop in the "love" to be a honey bee's trail. So I paired some honey bees with a honey bear couple in the multi-fold card I created. This 6" x 6" card will be going to my dear husband for Valentine's Day.

When you flip the page to the left, you will not only have 1 honey bear but 2.

Flip this page up and you'll have some space to write your personal message.

I had TOO much FUN making this adorable card and I do hope you think so too!

Cardmaking Tips:

  • Use a sheet of 12" x 12" White Cardstock to create the card base.
    • Cut the sheet down to 11-1/2" x 11-1/2". Then score the paper at 5-3/4", rotate the paper 90degrees and score again at 5-3/4".
    • Cut the top left square off then burnish the remaining score lines.
  • The sentiments are from the Bee My Valentine stamp set.
  • Use the reverse stamping technique to create the 2nd honey bear.
    • Erica Cerwin has the best way of doing this, in my opinion. Watch her video HERE.
  • The honey jars were stamped separately onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento ink then colored with Copper Clay and Wild Wheat Stampin' Blend markers. Fussy cut then adhere onto the bears. The one on the left was popped up with a dimensional.
  • For the inside of the card: Wild Wheat cardstock measures 5" x 5". The white cardstock layer measures 4" x 4".
  • Use some Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the honey in the two honey jars as well as the heart shape in the middle opening of the card.
  • Mat the White card base to a 6" x 6" piece of Wild Wheat cardstock.

Cardmaking Supplies:
All the supplies listed below were used in creating this card, with the exception of the stamping tool.
