Stampin UP core'dinations cardstock

I am still loving the core'dinations cardstock from the Holiday catalog! I recently made my mother-in-law a card for her birthday and knew this layout and type of card would suit her taste well....elegant and vintage.

My tips:
  • don't have the designer paper to match your colors and theme? Make your own with stamp sets that will match the design of your card! I used the retired Fresh Vintage stamp set from sale-a-bration on the top part of the card.
  • Use the rock-n-roll technique to add more color to your flower.
  • use the core'dinations cardstock and sanding block with any embossing folder of your choice to add depth and dimension.

  • to make the extended petals of the flower, use a 1 1/4" circle punch to punch out the center of a core'dinations CS flower, then trim each petal. Adhere to the back of the petals of your flower.

  • use the same circle you punched out... reduce it to 1", emboss, sand, and then adhere to the center of your flower! I love it when scraps are used!

Supplies used:
  • cardstocks: gumball green, very vanilla, early espresso core'dinations CS
  • stamp sets: Fresh vintage (retired from sale-a-bration), mixed bunch
  • Inks: gumball green, early espresso
  • Punches: 1 1/4" circle, blossom
  • embellishments: Antique brads
  • Ribbon: 1/2" very vanilla seam binding
  • big shot "vintage wallpaper" embossing folder

Tell me, how are you liking the core'dinations cardstock? Like it or Love it??? Are you using it over and over? Comment on this post below.
