I absolutely love when all the excitement that I've built up for several weeks to prepare for the SU! Dallas regional event is finally released!

My sweet friend Gina and I had the privilege of sharing our excitement with some more sweet friends this past weekend. A blast it was!

We started off with sign-in to pick up our goodies then we were off to swap our card-swaps away before the event got started! 


 I put together this gift-card holder as my swap. This is the same template that I used in my October 2012 post. Only difference is the layout. I used some of our current Sale-a-bration products.

SUPPLIES USED:

• cardstock: summer starfruit, early espresso, whisper white, raspberry ripple.
• inks: summer starfruit, raspberry ripple
• stamp set: madison avenue (SAB "sale-a-bration"), pretty petites (SAB)
• punches: curly label, petite curly label (SAB), itty bitty
• tools: big shot, two tags die, vine street embossing folder (SAB)
• ribbon: summer starfruit satin   

We had lots and lots of fun stamping, cheering, eating, and sharing our love of Stampin' UP together! I can't wait to see what they have prepared for us at Convention this year!

LOVE-ly Stampin' UP! pocket card and matchbox

Wow, it's been a heck of a week............actually, month! Alot of birthdays to be celebrated, stamp club to prepare for, and swaps to create, plus everything in between!

Speaking of stamp club, we got together to create some LOVE-ly projects this week just in time for Valentine's day.

The card layout for the card I created below was inspired by a card I pinned onto my Pinterest board (click HERE to view) and I've actually seen a few cards with the same layout so I decided to go with the flow.

This was a quick pocket card that my ladies had no problem putting it together in no time! I love the Sycamore Street DSP patterns and colors.....it just dresses up that card so well that's there's really no need to add alot to it.


Supplies Used:

• Cardstock: whisper white, rich razzleberry, summer starfruit
• DSP: sycamore street (Sale-a-bration)
• inks: versamark
• stamps: itty bitty banners
• punches: petite label (Sale-a-bration), scalloped edge
• heart embosslits
• vintage designer button
• white baker's twine       
• pool party embossing powder 

 
What's Valentine's Day without chocolate?!!! I had to  create something so my ladies (or their loved ones) would enjoy their chocolate and there's no better way of doing that than with the matchbox die. Those decadent chocolate nuggets fit perfectly snug in there.

I've been wanting to use the chalk-board technique so I decided to use just that on this project. 

My tips:

• use black cardstock and stamp your image with versamark ink. Heat emboss the image with white embossing powder.
•  use a sponge-dauber or even a paper towel and rub some white craft ink in random areas. 
• the more you mess up, the more natural it will look.
• dress up your embossed piece with a white colored pencil or watercolor pencil.  

 
Supplies Used:

• Cardstock: basic black, real red
• silver glimmer paper
• Inks: white craft, versamark 
• stamps: my valentine (retired in January), itty bitties (Spring catalog)
• punches: itty bitty circle, heart, 7/8" scallop circle (spring catalog)
• Big shot supplies: matchbox die, vine street embossing folder (SAB), heart framelits
• Ribbon: basic grey/basic black 1 1/4" two-tone (Spring catalog)   
  
•  white embossing powder
•  NON-Stampin' UP!: 4 chocolate nuggets

Stampin' UP! Swaps

I had a wonderful time at our downline demonstrator's meeting tonight. It's always so much fun to get together with ladies that love to do the same thing you do!
We did everything from eating together to talking about upcoming Stampin' UP! events (i.e. Dallas regional, convention) to swapping cards and making a make n take!

I must share some of these swaps with you as I think they are some amazingly beautiful ones and really is so inspiring to make some more cards!

We had 20 swaps but I will only be showing you my top 5 picks (not in any particular order).

Created by April Wells; her tips: create your choice of color for the doily by using a combination of alcohol, shimmer paint, and re-inker (i.e. baja breeze) in a spray bottle. instant beauty!

Stampin' UP! monochrome card

I was in the mood for a raspberry ripple monochrome card so I put one together for our upcoming downline demonstrator's swap.
It is full of products featured in the spring catalog.

I love the colorful designs in the Print Poetry DSP paper stack (pg 16). I used 3 of the different designs in this paper stack to adhere onto my honeycomb embossed CS of raspberry ripple.

Notice the subtle Itty bitties that I stamped with versamark randomly in the honeycomb.

To give the ribbon a little touch of something, I stamped two tiny feet onto some white CS and punched it out with the itty bitty circle punch.

I must say that the final touch of large pearls gave this card some "umph" and I'm lovin' it! 

 I'm trying to get better at decorating the inside of the card as well, so I figured I should give the Cuddles & Kisses stamp set a try and pair it with the itty bitty lips stamp. TOOO CUTE!!!

I'm simply in love with all the products featured on this card and  I hope you have been inspired to pair all the different products featured in the spring catalog.

Stampin' UP! spring catalog projects

Stamp club 2013 is back and in full swing! we had a great time putting together a couple of projects featuring a few stamp sets from the Spring catalog.

There are two different versions you can make with the different sizes of soda pop tops: so easy to  make your projects POP (pun intended)!

 I'm loving the soda pop tops! You could also put 6 small ones on the card. Whatever floats your boat!
