Stampin UP Sent with love & Easter projects

I finally got the opportunity to play around a little bit with the Sent with Love stamp bundle to prepare for my March stamp club and I really enjoyed the experience!
This stamp set fits any occasion and season!

I created this project with the desire to teach my ladies some double embossing that I learned from Dawn Olchefske. Watch her video below for the technique.

This card is vibrant with colors just in time for the spring season and simple enough for a quick card.

Inside of card

Supplies Used:
o   Cardstock: whisper white, island indigo, calypso coral

o   DSP: Sent with love DSP

o   markers: real red, pool party, island indigo, calypso coral

o   Punches: XL oval, heart border (retired), 1”

o   Stamp sets: sent with love

o   Ribbons: sycamore street ribbon: island indigo (SAB)

o   Cloudy day* and oval designer frame embossing folders

o   Sycamore street button (SAB)

Note: * denotes items from Spring catalog

My Tips:
  • to fit the airplane with heart trail into the XL oval punch:
    •  shorten the heart trail by creating a mask that covers the airplane and part of the trail; Stamp onto CS; then create a mask for the whole heart trail and stamp the airplane onto the CS.

Another project my ladies made is an Easter treat box just in time for the upcoming Easter holiday!
I prefer to make this project about the true reason we celebrate this holiday....... the great sacrifice and resurrection that Jesus Christ made to save us from eternal death due to our sin against God.

My Tips:
  • create the dove with a little bit of punch art:
    • use the largest petal from the blossom petals punch and create the wings using the bird builder punch
    • add 2 more tails using the bird punch to create a fluffier tail for the dove
  •   use the emboss-resist technique and some sponge daubers with ink to create the colorful phrase.
  •  use a clear window sheet for the box for some variety

Supplies Used:

o   Cardstock: so saffron, whisper white, old olive, soft suede
o   DSP: Regal rose DSP
o   Inks: versamark, soft suede, regal rose, rose red
o   Markers: so saffron, black
o   Punches: two-step bird, scallop border, blossom petal
o   Stamp sets: Easter blessings
o   Big Shot supplies: Fancy favor die
o   White embossing powder
o   Sponge daubers
o   Clear window sheet

I sure hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I did!
Blog you again next time....
